Selecting Images
Select an image:

Look for an image that has enough space
around the main subject so you have
room for seams, cropping or trims.
Look at the lighting and the shadows and
what is in the background.  Pay attention
to focus and the color balance in the
photo.
These are samples of good
photos with good color balance,
good composition, and good
exposure.
Before you print your image onto the
fabric, print your image onto plain
paper.  Make sure you're happy with
your selection.  Examine your photo for
necessary corrections, such as red
eyes or crooked horizons.  Make sure
your printer is set for the right paper
type, size and orientation for your
image.
These pictures have poor
exposure, poor composition, are
too busy or too distant for a good
photo.
Most software have the same basic tools:

1) levels - it finds the white point and the black point of a image. Every
image needs to have that balance.

2) Curves - which help you adjust the mid tones of an image.  After finding
the white and black point of a image the mid tones may need some help.

3) Contrast and Brightness - which helps you adjust brightness and can
give your image help in the contrast area of an image.

4) Filters - which can give your images some added help, for example -
taking a image and adding some interesting looks to it by experimenting
with the special effects filters.

5) Red eye filter - getting the red out of someone's eyes that flash
photography can sometimes give you.
These are some of the ways to get the most out of your projects.
Important: All ways test print on paper before printing on the fabric, you don't
want to waste your good material on a test print!
