Poster Printing
One of the most wonderful features of the desktop ink jet printer's ability is to
turn any print into a poster.  What this means is you can take a picture that is
8x10 and print it into a 16x20 or larger.  This feature is called "Poster".  It is
included in the software that comes with all ink jet printers.

If you have an older model printer, it maybe referred to as tiling. If you cannot
find this feature on your printer, it could be when you installed your printer on
to your computer, you were running Windows XP.  This program searches for
a default driver that will operate your printer. It will install a driver that is just
enough data to make your printer print, but doesn't give you all the features.

You may have to find your original installation CD and re-install your printer.  If
you cannot find your CD, go to the Internet site of your printer's manufacture,
and search for the appropriate driver.  Download the new updated driver for
your printer.
On most printers, the driver that comes with the printer will divide your
picture anywhere from 4 to 5 times across.  For example, if you had an 8x10
picture, it's going to divide it in to 4 equal sections.  The 8-inch side will now
equal 32 inches and the 10-inch side now will equal 40 inches.  If it divides in 5
sections, the 8-inch side will now be 40-inches and the 10-inch side will now
be 50 inches.  In this way even the smallest image can create a large poster.
